# 8.2 Rejoin und Datenrate einstellen

Neben des initialen Joinings beim Start des Gerätes ist es möglich, ein zyklisches oder einmaliges Rejoining mit dem Befehl [`Set Rejoin Behavior (0x7B)`](/dnt-lw-etrv/kommunikationsprotokoll/10.-datenrate-und-rejoin.md) zu initiieren. Dies kann z. B. hilfreich sein, wenn der LoRaWAN®-Netzwerkserver ausgetauscht und damit der Kontext der aktuellen Sitzung verloren geht oder das Gerät an einem anderen Netzwerkserver provisioniert werden soll.

Außerdem lässt sich bei Bedarf die LoRaWAN® Datenrate bzw. der Spreizfaktor mit dem Befehl [`Set Data Rate (0x79)`](/dnt-lw-etrv/kommunikationsprotokoll/10.-datenrate-und-rejoin.md) konfigurieren bzw. mit dem Befehl [`Get Data Rate (0x78)`](/dnt-lw-etrv/kommunikationsprotokoll/10.-datenrate-und-rejoin.md) auslesen.
